Alexander Associates takes responsibility for the entire search process,
which includes several components that are critical for a successful hiring.
Although each search project is unique and requires a flexible approach,
generally, here is how we work:
- We Get To Know You Very Well.
Good communication between our client and Alexander Associates
is vital to the success of the search. At the beginning of an
assignment, we meet with the members of the client organization
who can describe the position, qualifications, experience and
personal qualities required in the candidate. All clients want
superior people, but they must first define superior performance.
We start every search with our client defining exactly what results
they expect from the new hire. These meetings allow us to gather
insights about your company, its structure, people, culture,
overall business objectives, and most importantly key performance criteria.
We submit a detailed job
specification describing the responsibilities and
requirements of the position. We also outline targets, and
detail exactly how and when we'll proceed.
- We Do Extensive, In-depth Research.
An appropriate search strategy must
focus on your objectives. We use an extensive network of
external research sources to locate the best candidate for
the position. In addition, we have developed and refined
over the years, a vast professional network that allows us
to conduct searches in a fast and efficient manner.

We Conduct A Complete Screening of Potential Candidates.
If our initial
pre-screening with a candidate indicates a potential match
to your requirements, we then arrange a face-to-face
interview with our team. Our interview is an extremely
thorough screening process. It is not enough that a
candidate has industry or marquis company experience. Since
past performance is the best predictor of future
performance, we carefully screen the candidate to ensure
past performance matches what our client expects to have
accomplished. Only qualified candidates who meet the
performance criteria are presented to the client.
- We Give You Written Candidate Assessments.
If the candidate meets our screening
requirements, we then recommend a client interview. Prior to
the interview, however, we provide the client with a
candidate profile that includes our assessment of the
candidate’s personal and professional qualifications and how
they match our client’s requirements.
- We Help with the Candidate Evaluation Process.
Once the client interviews the pool of qualified candidates and wishes to
make a decision, we help with the selection process. We take
emotion out of the process and guide our client to make an honest
assessment of their expectations and match these
expectations with the candidate whose professional
expectations and accomplishments best compare.
- We Help In Negotiations.
We help candidates and clients communicate with each other during
the often delegate negotiation process. As part of this critical
phase of the search, our staff is in a good position to help
structure the offer and act as advisors for both the client and
the candidate.
